Rate Information
There is plenty of public parking available in downtown Norfolk. Please bring money, because it is a parking for fee operation. Many venues in the City are host to special events throughout the year. In order to accommodate convenient exiting from parking facilities at special events, the Parking Division puts into place a collect-on-entry operation.

The collect-on-entry rates are:
All facilities collect-on-entry, special event rate -- $5.00 per vehicle
MacArthur Center Garages special event fee -- $2.00 per vehicle

Parking for the Disabled
Disabled parkers with valid handicap license plates and/or hanging tags may park free at any on-street metered space for the posted time (2 hours at most downtown meters, except Waterside, which is 15 minutes). Or, disabled parkers may park in off-street parking garages and lots for an unlimited time when paying posted hourly rates.
